Students Activity

In the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography there are several Students’ organisations. Students’ activities in the Faculty are:

  • Rector’s, Dean’s grants and external scientific projects
  • Organisation of scientific conferences and workshops
  • Organisation of popularizing activities and outdoor events
  • Measurement campaigns
  • Sports and cultural events
  • Charity
 Students’ Association of the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography GEOIDA - http://geoida.org/
Formal organisation of students established in 1994 focuses on promoting issues in the fields of geodesy and cartography as well as geoinformatics. The aim of GEOIDA is also to stimulate interest in scientific and organisational work among students and to promote the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography at WUT. Members and friends of the Association have the opportunity to create and participate in numerous national and international conferences and trips. The organisation promotes integration, personal development and cooperation with other research units and companies from all over Poland and abroad.

Science Club of Spatial Planning was established in 2007 at the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography of the Warsaw University of Technology, bringing together students and graduates of the Faculty of Spatial Management at Warsaw University of Technology. The main areas of the club's activities and scientific interests are broadly understood issues related to space development and shaping, sustainable local and regional development, issues of the natural environment, socio-economic development as well as issues related to urban shaping and design.

Science Club of Geodesy and Cartography was reactivated in 2014 at the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography of the Warsaw University of Technology, bringing together students and graduates of the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography and Geoinformatics at the Warsaw University of Technology. The main areas of the club's activities and scientific interests are broadly understood issues related to geomatics. Students successfully carried out research projects within Rector’s and Dean’s scientific grants.
  Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography Student Council
The Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography Student Council is a group of students representing all students’ community of our Faculty. Its purpose is to participate in Faculty Councils, Program Committees and meetings of the Student Parliament of the University. On behalf of all students, it expresses opinions on the schedules of studies and examination sessions. It organizes cultural, entertainment and sporting events, e.g. integration trips, hazings, the Ball of the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography, but also educational ones, e.g. the Golden Chalk - a competition for the best lecturers of our Faculty. It analyses applications and grants social and scientific scholarships and places in halls of residence.
