Scientific and Technical Seminar

Department of Engineering Geodesy and Measurement Systems, Warsaw University of Technology
invites you to Scientific and Technical Seminar

The importance of  deformation and displacement monitoring for the safety of construction investments

Venue: Warsaw University of Technology, Politechniki Sq. 1, 00-661 Warszawa, Main Building, room 315

Date: March 13, 2024; Beginning: 9:00 a.m.

Description
The seminar aims to exchange experiences and information regarding the importance of displacement and deformation monitoring in the investment process. During the speeches, modern solutions utilized in monitoring endangered objects will be presented.
We invite all attendees to take an active part in the discussion panel. We count on the presence of licensed surveyors (professional qualifications no. 4) who will have the opportunity to share their experiences in the cooperation of industries in the domain of surveying investment services. The seminar is also addressed to investors and public administration employees.

You are welcome to the Displacement and Deformation Monitoring Laboratory show.

This modern laboratory is used to conduct scientific research and teach classes in the following fields: Geodesy and Cartography (Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography, Warsaw University of Technology) and Environmental Engineering (Faculty of Building Installations, Hydrotechnics and Environmental Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology).
It is equipped with sensors and systems for examining displacements and deformations.

The laboratory includes a geodetic rosette for testing surface deformations, a building foundation and diaphragm wall models with inclinometric tubes for manual and automatic measurement of horizontal and vertical displacements, a presentation stand of the intelligent monitoring system ‘IMSGeo’, a wall model with discrete inclinometer sensors, and a presentation stand with a precise compct tiltmeter.
The laboratory is also equipped with measuring instruments, such as robotic and scanning total stations.
